The On-Board Charger (OBC) is a critical component of electric vehicles, responsible for converting external AC power to DC power for charging the vehicle’s battery. The conversion process must meet strict efficiency and safety standards to ensure the charging process’s effectiveness and safety. OBCs feature intelligent control functions that automatically adjust the charging strategy based on the battery’s status and the charging environment, optimizing charging efficiency and extending battery life. Additionally, OBCs have the capability to communicate with the grid, supporting Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functionality.
